Self Control and Joseph's Dancers

Yesterday we caught a matinee of "Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat".  It is a really fun musical.   I have seen it a few times now and I wanted to take my kids to see this one playing in town.  Overall, it was pretty safe for kids, but there were a few "questionable" costume choices and dance moves that I would rather have not had them see.  As the whole cast got up to dance "Go Joe, Go", they had many girls dressed in skimpy, 60's miniskirts and wailing around kinda provocative.  This is a common sight in any restaurant you go in Ukraine.  They have little shame for showing their nakedness and for most of the time there we had to keep our eyes away from the endless views of the near soft-porn images.

Since we have been back, I have been steadily teaching Ana the do's and don'ts of a Christian young woman's modesty.  Lack of self-control is a term I have been using to express our out of control society that includes these kinds of inappropriate (another word we use quite often) displays that should be better left not expressed.  So when they started dancing like such, Ana turns to me and says..."They have no self-control"!  I cracked up.  I guess she really is beginning to learn!
