Hi Raya!

Last week we were surprised by Raya who was in the US on a hosting trip. She had called me at night and said she was only staying the day, but wanted to see Ana. Raya is the Director of Father's House, the orphanage we adopted Ana from. I told her I would not tell her she was in town. I wanted her to be surprised.

Ana was so happy to see Raya. She asked about all her friends! For most of the conversation they spoke English. It looked like English was so much easier for her to communicate than with the Russian. Raya was also pleasantly surprised that Ana looks so big and healthy. When we first met her in August 2007 she weighed 65 lbs and was about 4'5. Today she is 5'1 and 92 lbs!!!

This was a wonderful day for us all!
